I am on week 3 of the student blogging challenge, and we have to write a post about commenting guidelines. What is a good comment?
My description of a good comment is probably different from your opinion. To me a good comment is making sure whatever you’re writing about is appropriate for a school blog, making sure you leave a questions so you can continue a good conversation, and if you want to leaving a link to your blog that would be good too so you can build readership. I always try to reply when someone leaves a comment on my blog and if they leave a link I will check out their blog too.
What is your description of a good comment? I would love to here everything you have to say about good comments and what I can add to my post about the guidelines.

I am only on week 1 of the student blogging challenge because my class was a little late registering, but I am hard at work trying to catch up and participate in everything I can. I have never met the person or people that will be mentoring my colour in the challenge so I have a few questions that I hope they will see and answer soon. This is what I know about them
- They are taking a course at a university to become a teacher,
- 1 of them has commented on my blog before.
But I want to know more about them I have a few questions that can’t be answered on the mentor registration list so I hope they will read this and provide me with some answers soon.
- What is your name?
- Do you like an sports?
- What is it like to be studying to be a teacher?
- Would you recommend becoming a teacher?
I hope you get to read my post and help my curiosity. If you can I would love to answer some of your questions to.

Have you ever been to Canada? I have lived here my entire life, and I love it. We have so many fun things to do. These are my favoutrite things to do.
Tofino is famous for its beautiful beaches and great surfing waves. I have only been once but I loved it and would definitely go again. My brother and I spent the whole time in the water being knocked down by 5 and 6 foot tall waves! We went to Long Beach and saw lots of whales spouting and we even heard them calling to each other it was so cool. My dad even took us to the boat that he went fishing in with my uncle and grandpa. He also told us that the tour guide they went fishing with takes Trevor Linden out all the time, I was mesmerized. Tofino is one of the most fun places I’ve ever been.
Nanimo, is also a great place to shop, or spend time with family and friends. In Nanimo they have a great shopping mall called Woodgrove Center and a great activity park call Wild Play where you can Bungy Jump, go on a course called Monkido, ride something called a Primal Swing, go on the ZOOM Zip lines, and the DragonFLY Zip lines. Wild Play has locations all over British Columbia and these are some of the locations Kelowna, Maple Ridge, Nanimo, West Shore Victoria, Whistler, and one in the Yukon.
Victoria is the capitol of British Columbia so there is lots of fun things to do. Some of my favourite things to do as a family are… Go tour the Parliament Buildings to learn about the representatives of our province and country. I also love to visit The Undersea Gardens it has beautiful displays of all kids of sea creatures some you might not even find in Canada, which I love because it’s a great learning experience but its also nice and relaxing, as well as a great family friendly place.
I love everything about all these places and I hope you liked reading about them. What are some of the fun things to do in your area? I would love to know all about different family things please comment.

I have been hard at work catching up with the blogging challenge so here is week 1. I was reading some blogs that are really cool and that I would recommend visiting. I have only mentioned a few but I found lots that were good. For example:
Shawn’s Blog. He has written some awesome posts, like his 7 Random Facts, and his Glog post and finally the Ghost busters one. You should really check it out.
George H, has a pretty cool blog that has a post on New Zealand and a post on the Week three challenge. I would definitely visit this one again.
Shelby’s Blog, has these awesome posts on The Hunger Games and some other stuff. Definitely worth checking out!!
These were only three of the many blogs I have looked at but I felt they deserved to be recognized for their efforts in making their readers entertained and answering their questions. If you have any questions about the Student Blogging Challenge please don’t hesitate to ask.

On May 23, at my school all the grade 6 and 7′s are participating in the Entrepreneur Fair and I’m making Dispicable Me minion book marks. The Entrepreneur Fair is a program for kids between the ages of 11 and 14 to create a business plan. It is a great opportunity to learn some skills for when we are older and running our own business or working at a successful business. We have to develop a product, produce it, and we have to market our product to get more business and find out what people want. We are putting out surveys to help with our market research so we can have a successful Entrepreneur Fair. If you have a moment please take my survey.

My whole class wrote poems on their experiences on bullying and this was what I wrote.
I am just a girl
I am just a girl who lives in a shadow and can’t escape it.
I am just a girl who had to go to school and pretend I was fine, that nothing happens.
I am just a girl who doesn’t want anyone to feel lonely and scared, like me.
I am just a girl who will fight back and let no one suffer silently like I do.
I am just a girl who dreams of a world where bullies don’t exist.
I am just a girl who promises that I will never treat anyone with the same disrespect that I have felt.
I am just a girl who is learning from the way I am treated.
I am just a girl who deserves respect and cherishes friendship.
I am just a girl who needs to know that someone cares.
I am just a girl who loves my life and can’t wait to make the most of it.
I am just a girl.
Have you ever been bullied or bullied someone else?

I love baseball, I love to watch, play, and listen to it. The Milwaukee Brewers are a baseball team from Milwaukee. My dad is a huge baseball fan and we get updates on the Milwaukee Brewers all the time. The reason for that is because Taylor Green #5 on the team is one of our close friends. The Brewers are my all time favourite baseball team. What is your favourite baseball team?

If you’re looking for a good novel, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is the second book in the Secret series. There are five books in the series, the first is called The Name Of This Book Is Secret, the second is If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, the third is This Book Is Not Good For You, the fourth is called This Isn’t What It Looks Like, and I don’t know what the fifth is called. This is a great novel for people looking for action and adventure book to keep you wanting more. Pseudonymous Bosch hooks you in the first book writing all about how two kids go on an adventure to investigate a mysterious death. I couldn’t put this book down and couldn’t wait to pick up the next one. It kept me guessing and thinking. I love these books and I hope you like them too, but remember If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late!!

There are a lot of things people don’t know about me but here are 7.
- I was born in Victoria.
- My middle name is the same as my Nana, Marie.
- I have taken lessons at 3 different dance studios.
- I have 3 great grandparents that are alive.
- My hobby is the same as my grandpa, collecting coins.
- My best friend, since we were 2, died in October of 2011.
- I have fractured my arm 2 times in the same spot.
What are some things people don’t know about you?

Pink Shirt Day is a day when everyone across Canada wears pink on the last Wednesday of February, this year it fell on leap day.Pink Shirt Day started a few years ago in Nova Scotia when a boy wore a pink shirt to school and got bullied because of it. Some of the older students did not appreciate that and so they used social media to tell everyone to wear pink the next day. By the end of the week everyone in the school was wearing pink except the bullies, and that is how Pink Shirt Day started. Have you ever been bullied? I have been bullied four times and I will never forget who bullied me or what they did, it’s just something I can’t ever forget. I will always be left wondering what I did to make these people hate me enough to put me through misery every day of my life. I always wear pink on Pink Shirt Day.
